ABSTRACT:
Relationship at work place is purposeful relation, focused on common vision, with mutual trust, faith and respect. It may have emotional quotient but it is time bound. There are a lot of differences between personal relations, and inter personal relation among the employees in a particular work place. It includes employer - employee relations, trade union and conflict handling mechanism. Promotion of better inter-personal relation maintains industrial peace, which increase productivity and profit. In this small study fifty employees are interviewed to find out the levels of relationship in an industrial unit. Further, it is compared with the Gandhian views on inter-personal relationship.
