ABSTRACT:
“Agriculture is the backbone of Indian economy” and “farmers are the backbone of agriculture”.Farmers playprominent role in the economic growth, infrastructure facilities and technology adaption are the lacunas faced in Indian agriculture sector. Appropriate storage facility is the major roadblock in agriculture sector. Despite governmental initiatives towards cold storage setup farmers are not willing to adapt these technology driven facilities. Present study is an attempt to study the Challenges in adoption of cold storage facilities. For the study, the respondents were selected from different villages of Karnataka state.
